Large Liter Bottle: Pours a cloudy yellow-orange with a very thin head that dissipates quickly. Sugars and citrus fruits dominate the nose. Initial impression is of sweet apricots with a smooth bourbon-like hint of that 11% ABV. It finishes slightly sweet with a semi-dry honey aftertaste. This was a very good beer. In my excitement, I poured in some of the sediment as I finished off the bottle. This will become one of my go-to beers for a cold winter’s night after a good day of skiing!

Bottle at The Headkeeper. Pours a slightly cloudy yellow, nice off-white head. Aroma is sweet, orange and caramel. Flavor is citrus flavors, orange/corriander, a little spice with a malt base. A little sweet and dry on the finish.

Bottle that came courtesy of Reluctant Scooper and Beer Merchants following a competition I entered, consumed 02-02-09 Many thanks to Simon (Haddonsman) and Phil L Pours and actually shimmers golden, looks quite stunning, didnt really notice the head because once I had turned nipped out the room and returned to my bottle it was practically gone, but it was white. Feels soft in the mouth, there are plenty of sweet malts and its a little boozy both in the mouth and on the nose. I also get a taste of one of those finger shaped trifle sponges that your mum used to use in her trifles. This is a nice beer and I’m enjoying it in its own elegant glass, but I have to say that its not quite as good as one or two others in the stable. A6 A4 F7 P3 OV14 3.4

Hazy golden yellow with a nice one finger head that reduced to a thin film and minimal lacing. Aromas of lemon and sugar dominate the nose. Flavors featured the saem, but included other citrus, notable orange and grapefruit, and a clear yeast presence. Intense carbonation, medium body, and a very pleasant citrus aftertaste.

Strong beer, very slightly cloudy to clear gold color and thick white foam. High fermentation with a strong alcohol and good vanilla taste. Excelent taste.

330 ml bottle from Bieropholie, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. DE02/08.

App.: Clear (for now...) golden with a large white foam. Aroma: Lots of biscuit and fresh-baked bread, plenty of alcohol, some tropical fruits, citrus, other tree fruits, a touch of caramel, slightly herbal. Palate: Medium-full body, moderate effervescence with a few sharp bubbles, smooth and a little syrupy. Flav.: Sweet fruits and honey, some yeast, a fair bit of alcohol, some light herbal notes, a touch of citrus, more alcohol(geez); sweet with a surprising amount of bitterness (still not a huge amount), with light honey and bread plus a bit more alcohol.

Not bad, but the alcohol is too aggressive and the overall impression is harsh.
