Ungstrup (11338), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 4, 2004 The aroma is sweet and yeasty with notes of fruits. The color is orange and it has a beutiful head. The flavor is powerful with notes of cloves, oranges, and corriander. It has a great palate. A really nice night-cap. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 14, 2003 Bottled. Muddy pale orange with smallish head. Vinuos aroma of fruit and toffee. Malty with balanced sweetness and a strong almond flavour. The mouthfeel is surprisingly light, and the massive ABV is suprisingly well hidden, especially considering the modest sweetness. Some hoppiness renders a dryish finish with just a hint of bitterness. Papsoe (10254), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 29, 2005 Updated: Feb 26, 2006(Bottle 33 cl) In my version known as "Kasteel Bier Gouden Triple D’Or". Holy shite for a beer. First a touch of sweetness, the an overwhelming, dry spiciness lasting the whole way through. Dry more than bitter. Extremely complex and refined. The king of tripels? 210496 yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Oct 28, 2007 33 cL bottle (as Kasteel Triple). Pours slight hazy yellow with a lacing yet dense off-white head. Slight acidic with an underlying malt aroma, sweet. Flavour has a sweet malt flavour with a mild caramel note. Breaking this a distinct citric to acidic flavour intermixed with coriander and yeasty spiceness. Nice and complex and different from other triples. Pure joy. joergen (6529), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 29, 2005 Bottled.
