gunnfryd (2743), Kristiansand, Norway Jan 27, 2008 Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, hop. Flavour is fruit, malt, hop, butterscotch. I think this was a boring beer. yngwie (3602), Kristiansand, Norway Jan 23, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear, maybe too pale, golden with a medium, white head. Strange, chalky, cellarish aroma, leaning towards malty after a while, when it also releases some fruity hop-aromas. The flavor isn’t so good either, but slightly better than the aroma. Grainy malt and some fruity-hoppy bitterness and a little chalky hint. At least there’s some balance. Medium body. Bitterish finish, fruity and a bit peppery. Strange brew. (071215) MiP (6029), Flensburg, Germany Sep 10, 2007 Draught, 5.0% at BBF07 as Katharinen Luther-Bier Pils. Clear golden colour, small white head. The flavour is slightly sweet, with low bitterness. Finishes a little sour. Not to my liking. EithCubes (1824), Indiana, USA Aug 9, 2006 Draught from an earthen Krug at the Leipziger Bierbörse. Lacing short white head. Sweet yeast, bready, cellary, vaguely hoppy aroma. Smooth, lightly chalky, light-bodied. Bitterness established by the end, very dry. Mild terminal fruitiness. A disappointment after having their Dunkel, still a good one by style.
