Bottled. An unclear pale golden beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma has notes of wheat and dusty hops. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of wheat, as well as some cardboard and citrus, leading to a dry wheaty finish - probably it would taste better at the source, than in California.

500 ml bottle purchased at Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido, California. Pour is hazed copper golden with a larger pure white head. Nice lacing as the head falls. Aroma is apple banana fruit, honey sweetness and generic Hefe yeast. Tastes is the banana, honey, clove wheat and sugar. Very sweet, but not cloying. Palate is medium, nicely carbonated, and crisp and drinkable.

Bottle. Poured a cloudy, ruddy, dark gold color with a medium head. Surprised at the amount of appearance disparity amongst the reviewers. Aroma was yeasty, spicy, with a good amount of apples and a slight touch of banana and sweetness (not much of this however). Flavor was solid, albeitn unspectacular. I found the palate to be a bit harsh and tingly in the finish. Flavors were decent, with some nice wheaty and spicy elements. ON the dry side. A beer for a hot day.

I wish I could give this one a better rating but I was disappointed in the overall quality and compsoiton of this brew. No lacing, no head and no carbonation. Taste wa sOK, but everything else was was poor!

An interesting hefe - bright golden in color and not cloudy at all. Aroma of yeast and golden apples. Much the same in the flavor palate. Crisp and spicy, this one seems to speak of fall to me. Interesting, but not quite what I want from a hefeweizen.

Bottle purchased at Liquor Mart in Boulder, CO. Pours clear dark yellow with a large, fizzy, white head, mostly diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is average malt (straw, cereal, meal), light hops (herbs), average yeast (earth) with notes of apple and pear. Light bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.
