Rusty yellow. Soapy white foam quickly disperses but hangs around. Pleasant nose exhibits honeydew melon, plastic and yogurt-covered bananas with a distant note of clove, bubblegum, and black pepper. Slight oxidation (bottling date indeterminable). Sharply effervescent on the palate. Briskly dry and virtually weightless, initially, with a sweet tailing of wheat which clings and coats the palate while lending a pie crust sweetness. Fruitiness is subdued, though vibrant bubblegum esters pleasantly compensates by seamlessly merging with the spicy phenols. Invigoratingly crisp and well-attenuated, though some flabby banana taffy and a hint of baked apples are a slight detraction. Rather muted, but well balanced. Finishes with a cleansing flash of clove and plasticy phenols along with a sweet pineapple fruitiness which lingers. Yeast pour bolsters the body by imparting a claylike earthiness which clings to the starchy wheat. While the esters and phenols could stand to be more expressive, this is pretty good, and certainly much more respectable than their boring dunkelweizen.

(on bottle) I just love it everytime I get a hefe and it´s not drowend in bananas. This has some banana, but is balanced by both pineapple, wood and a touch of smoke, I even got bacon, but? Very nice creamy head and a beautifull deep hazy-yellow color. The mouth is semi-foamy, taste is fresh and even get a tad hoppy and dry to the finish.

Bottle from Hi-Time. Wheat aroma. Also clove. Hazy pale gold color with a humongous white head. Thinnish in body and creamy in carbonation. Good old banane and yeast spice. It’s very wet and refreshing. The clove goes everywhere, and the finish is fairly dry and clean. Other fruits seem to pop up with time. I can believe pineapple and peach.

Bottle from Hi-Time Wine. Pours a slightly hazy dark golden color. Strong apple cider aroma with some yeasty goodness lurking back there somewhere. Flavor is like an apple hefeweizen. Easy to drink and pretty refreshing. This isn’t what I look for in a hefe. Better than a pale lager though.

Bottle. Dark blonde, cloudy. Pineapple in the aroma. Yeasty flavor with a hint of cinnamon and pineapple. OK Hefe Weizen, nothing more.

Bottle sampled. Pours pale golden with a slight haze and a large white head. Aroma of lemon, citrus, slight banana, and spices. The flavor is light, banana, citrus, lemon, spices, sweet, and small traces of hops. Thin body, good brew.
