Bottle. Fresh malty, slightly grassy aroma. Malty, hay-like,slightly chalky flavor with some citrus and vanilla. Quite complex and tasty helles.

Bottle sampled. Pours pale golden with a decent size white head. Aroma of grain, honey, and slight fruit. The flavor is sweet, biscuit, fruit, and grassy bitterness.

500ml bottle. Filtered and clear medium dark yellow with a standard white medium-sized bubbled head. Dusty sweet nose of sweet corn and light dough and cracker. Flavor is similar, slick and sweet corn, some very light lemon zest and a wheat cracker flavor over the middle. Finishes slick and crisp. A decent beer, I dig helles more and more and this one wasn’t so bad. I think if I had this a few years ago I would have panned it but I’ve grown to really like a crisp and lightly sweet helles.

500 ml bottle. Very pale straw colour, white lace. Thin pale malt aroma. Pretty fresh tasting. Very light grassy hop flavour over a soft pale malt backbone. Low bitterness. Not stellar, but it’s highly quaffable.

Quite as basic as a helles can be. Had this one with pork and sauerkraut and can’t really recall much of the beers character. Maybe says something. Good and basic one without anythink funky pushing thru.

clear golden with fluffy white head, it has slightly bready aroma. light and smooth.

Bottle: Translucent yellow, large frothy white head, spotty lacing, soft carbonation.   Sweet grassy nose, slight hay.   Very grassy on the tongue, mild sweetness.   Average body and mouthfeel.   Soft grass oriented malts linger, along with the soft sweetness.   Tiz average, but a fairly clean example of the style.

I was very enthusiastic about trying this golden lager when it first became available. I was somewhat disappointed by the lack of flavor in the finish and the dullness of its hops in the balance. Not much to write home about, but it would definitely be quite sessionable in the heat of summer.
