| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 25, 2001 This is no Kolsch, nor does it ever pretend to be. I’m not sure where that came from. It is a hell, simple and plain. I mean that quite literally, this walks right down the middle for the style - a little malt, but not too much; a touch of dryness, but only a touch. Lacking in assertiveness, this would be okay as a quick pint after work, but not much else. argo0 (6907), Washington DC, USA

Pours pale golden with a small, fizzy, white head that soon disappears. Aroma is grassy, some sweet bready malts. Light citric. Medium carbonation, rather fat and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, bready malts, fine grassy bitterness. Light, lingering citric zest and fine dryness. A good bottled Helles.
