Head is whitish and long lasting. It's very balanced and the aftertaste is almost non existent. I drink this one with a lidded stein and it retains the aroma and flavor better than a conventional glass. LiebeBier (793), Annapolis, Maryland, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 30, 2007 This is exactly what I want when in the mood for a German pils. Very clean, grassy aroma. Bready, malty flavor with the perfect amount of hop bitternes to really round off the beer nicely, but not make the aftertaste too bitter or sharp. I will definitely have this again. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA

Straw and lightly wheat aroma with some nice floral hops. Taste is very crisp and clean with a nice subtle balance and good finishing floral/fruity hops. iam (369), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Taste is crisp with malt being the predominant flavour and a nice hops bitterness to finish. A nicely balanced pils eaglefan538 (2403), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 28, 2007 Excellent display of carbonation in the clear golden body, sharp white head, solid retention, great lacing, as darned nice as a pilsner can ever look. The aroma was toasted cereal grains and honey. The flavor was sweet cereal (a lucky charms note under it all, in a good way), a toastiness, fruity (odd for a pilsner, but quite nice, almost like a kolsch influence), honey, bready, and finishing with a nice hop shout from grassy, herbal, floral, and metallic hops. Mouthfeel was smooth, finishes dry and sweet (ie. not totally crisp, but good). Over half of the Aktien brews I’ve had have been clear winners, and these all from bottles... if only I get to drink these on draft one day in Deutschland.
