THis is beer is Yellow Gold in color (not as I expected.. looking for a redder version). Aroma is a nice malt with a certain creaminess about it. The mouth feel is excellent with this product, medium full and a velvety smoothness to it, this is the hight point! Low carbonation, and a nice nobel hop finish (medium bitter for style?) posibly Spalt?
Nice beer, although I expected something different... I prefer there Helles

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jun 7, 2004 Light golden color, small white head that had a little staying power but faded to leave little behind. The aroma was semi sweet with a decent light malt and some fruit with a decent but not overly done hop presence. The taste was a little disappointing, lightly malty and some fruit but little on the hops and a mild subdued spicyness. Not real great but not bad eather. It definately could use a little help here and there but it does make a decent brew for the late summer.Well worth trying atleast once and maybe twice, depends on the mood i’m in. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 27, 2004 What the heck, a krystal straw hued marzen? Has a fizzy white head and litlle lace. The aroma hints of aromatic and grassy hops, apple, pear, bready malts and yeast esters. The taste is very similar to a amped up pilsner, crisp and clean, lightly citric and fruity, grassy and bready undertones. The mouthfeel is thin for style. Okay, this is not a normal fest brew, but is good never the less. PeterA (339), Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 1, 2003 Beautiful golden color, incrediby clear. The aroma is fruity, but weak. The head had a little bit of thickness to it, but it dissipated quickly. Had a watery feel to it. argo0 (6907), Washington DC, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 1, 2003 Clear light golden body with small white head. Aroma is medium sweet and grassy. Taste is medium sweet, tart, some caramel, grassy, light floral. Crisp light body. Much closer to a pilsner in style than a marzen. Quite enjoyable. igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA

Nose is lagerish and not as perfumy as I would expect for an Octoberfest style beer. The taste brings me to Germany - crisp hop and malt tongue and finish. Smooth, clean body. Not very complex at all, but still good. I'll get this again!
