Appears a hazy, light orange toned brown with a small, off-white head that quickly fades out into a mild cap.
Smell is of citrusy dough, caramel, vanilla, a touch of bananas, and mild spices.
Taste if of the mentioned aromas but more tart with a light apple note that isn’t unheard of for the style. It’s not bad but it is a bit sweet.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, crisp, fruity, with a smooth finish. ToadMan (554), Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 9, 2007 Amber color, thin, not nearly as dark as I was expecting. Thin quickly disappearing head. Really nice aroma, lots of sweet malt in the nose with a noticeable wheat presence, yeasty and delicious. Flavor is sweet nutty malts giving way to a wheatier middle and a lightly bitter finish. Thin and not overly complex, but tasty. Cletus (5058), Connecticut, USA

Color is odd as well, as it’s orangish brown. Flavor is brown bread, alomst a pumpernickel with some caramel and mustard seed. A weird combination. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 26, 2007 Murky orangeish-tan with a rocky beige head. Aroma of banana, clove, and yeast, along with a mild herbal hop note. Sweet bananas and caramel in the flavor, with a twinge of tart lemon. Spiciness is subdued. A solid weizenbock. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 25, 2007 Bottle from State Line. Sweet clovey (not cloven!) aroma, bubblegum and brown sugar with a dry alcohol and band-aid touch. Murky dark brown body with a yellow-tinged off-white head, large and fozzily soap. Taste is predominately an above-avg malt with a dash of banana, touch of flashy acidity but not too much. Bit of cereal and a strange strain of yeast. Clove and a half-dash of cinnamon. Medium-full body, kissed by crisp carbonation but, again, not overdone. Kind of a difficult one to call; tasty enough but really doesn’t reach down for your testicles. Probably a little too light for a WB.
