.5L bottle from Hollingshead Deli; Nose of molasses, brown sugar, and raisins, with a wine note; clear dark red-brown with a small tan head; flavor is raisins, toffee, and some slight sweetness. I have liked all the beers I have had from these guys!

Oct 29, 2008 Bottle. Mahogony beer with an off-white head. Toffee and sweet malt aroma. Toffee/caramel flavor with light dark fruits. Medium-plus bodied. Caramel, toffee, and light dark fruits linger.

Sweet aroma of malts, caramel and rye bread with notes of dried fruits and alcohol.
Sweet malty flavour of caramel, rye bread and dried fruits with notes of liquorice and alcohol.
Warming alcoholic finish.

Aug 19, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours clear and deep golden amber to brown with a lacing off-white head. Dense malty to mild roasted, breadish note. Flavour is dry breadish and mild spiced. Smooth and mild roasted finish with a light breadish touch. Nice one.
