Commercial Description:
This dark wheat beer is bottle conditioned. Made from a combination of 50% wheat and 50 % barley malt, it has a hearty body yet is effervescent and palatable. Wheat beer officianados must discover for themselves this different and exciting brew. Very dry aftertaste.

Bottle. Phenolic bubblegum nose with a little wheat. Lighter banana and toffee. Cloudy chestnut/copper body with a soapy, frothy beige head. Fruity taste is a little more jumbled (and sweeter), figgy mineral water with bananas and clove. Watery body but effervescent, nice plummy notes with just a little touch of chocolate. Yeastiness is nice but should be coming through more. Enjoyable but not great.

Bottle. Large fizzy off-white head that mostly diminished, one ring of lacing, mostly transparent and slightly hazy, carbonation noted, and a golden orange hue. The aroma was malt, bananas, sweet, spicy, and clove. Ditto for the flavor; however, it lost points because it tasted thin and somewhat bland. Tingly mouthfeel and light in body. Was looking forward to this one and it left me very disappointed and not wanting this one again. The aroma outdid the flavor as the flavor just did not cut it for the style. Next!

Aroma of biscuit, banana and clove - all rather mild. Hazy amber color with a fine beige head. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Starts with banana, wheat and clove. Seems to stay with that. Finish is pretty dry, but not astringent. Very good beer.

Hazy brownish orange. Dirty-white head rapidly fizzles into a jagged-bubbled collar. Leady and irony aromas are dotted with plums, pineapple and faint clove. Rather dull to the nose. Soft yet spritzy carbonation. Flavors are metallic, watery and lifeless from the get go as unripe plums and bananas dominate the forefront and lighten the impact of the wheat. Deceptively dry due to the clove phenols which generate some spicy warmth thereby offsetting the flabby residuals, but the flavors lack definition and fail to gel. Yeast character is heavily gluey and claylike. Finishes with a mild twang of wheat which is accompanied by tangy esters. Disappointingly limp and undefined all around, and no ripe esters or poignant phenols to speak of. Very rudimentary rendition.

Bottled(500ml). -The waitress poured it from bottle on the bar. In Kainz Restaurant near Neuschwanstein Castle.
Muddy brown coloured, wheaty cinnamon nose. Malty, light yeast and dried fruity aroma with notes of cinnamon and toffee. Slightly acidic finish. Goes well with Kaiserschmarren (pancakes with raisins and apple sauce).
