| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Sep 1, 2009 Bottle 50 cl. Pours an almost clear warm amber with a nice off-white head. Light nuttiness in the nose combined with some tartness. Light body, very tart - and nothing much else. Heavy carbonation, no bitterness. Clearly infected. I really don’t think German beer should travel as far as California. 100709 yespr (12228), Copenhagen O, Denmark

It was hard..... MoritzF (4985), Bochum, Germany
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 22, 2009 (bottle) Hazy, chestnut-brown colour with a thick and light-beige foamy head. Yeasty, slightly dusty and sweet malty nose with a moderate wheat-character, accompanied by notes of berries, toffee and cloves. Slightly sweet and minimal sour flavour, quite light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Yeasty and wheaty fruity taste with shy notes of toffee; slim and short fruity finish. Rather disappointing. 22.IX.09 Cornfield (4951), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 29, 2005 Amber/copper/brown with a frothy off-white head, this has a toffee aroma with some yeastiness, juicy fruits, and just a dab of floral hops. Medium-bodied, it’s full of toffee and chocolate and plums and... I just wish the flavpors were stronger. The touch of smoke in the dry finish is a nice touch. Tasty.

A smooth feel with a dark roasted wheat flavor. Yes, I would say watery. A brew to refresh and satisfy on a hot summer day.
