Pours mahogany red with a small, frothy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, light metal, good caramel and a slight roasted note. Medium carbonation with fine mouthfeel. Flavour is quite fine, good sweetness. Lots of caramel, a little rye bread, some plums. Fair, subdued bitterness in the finish. Good and drinkable. Light to medium body with lightly sweet roasted malt and a dry finish with subdued bitterness. Highly drinkable. 090109 Ungstrup (14754), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 9, 2009 Bottled. A red-brown bier with a tan head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of caramel as well as notes of malt and some straw. The flavor is sweet malty with quite strong notes of both bread and caramel, leading to a dry bready finish where notes of caramel lingers. The body is thin. yespr (11645), Copenhagen O, Denmark Sep 14, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden amber with a creamy light tan head. Spiced and light roasted malt aroma. Flavour is sweet and breadish. More pronounced spice note appearing later. Ends with a lingering malty flavour, breadish and towards dark fruity. Lubiere (4463), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Sep 1, 2008 A dark brown dunkel with a thin offwhite head, lacing. Aroma is pleasant, nutty caramel, with light hops. In mouth, a nice roasted malt, with fruity esters, a bit thin but nice. Bought at Cerveteca, Barcelona, for 1.92 E. and tasted mid Nov. 2006.
