Hazy orange brown coloured with a medium sized beige head.
Sweet aroma of malts, fruits, bananas, yeast, pine apples and spices.
Sweet flavour of liquorice, bananas and caramel.
Spicy finish. yespr (6162), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 19, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours hazy and dark brown with a lacing tan head. Aroma is mild citrus fruity and roasted to breadish malty. Flavour holds a mild fruity wheat note wth a light estery and mild bitterness coming through. Lingering fruity wheat finish with a persisting breadish note. pivnizub (3770), Porúří, Germany May 31, 2008 Bottle: Chestnut-amber coloured, hazy, bigger, quite stable off-white creamy head; sourish-wheaty nose, traces of dark malt; creamy, medium to full bodied; sourish - almost citrus-fruity - finish with caramalt and dried fruits in the aftertaste. Not bad, but tastes like a souped-up Dunkelweizen......... MoritzF (3690), Ruhrpott, Germany May 21, 2008 (bottle) Hazy, murky brown colour with a big and persistent beige foamy head. Minimal yeasty, slightly sweet and slightly toasted wheat-malty and sourish fruity (citrus, plums) aroma with a moderate phenolic spice in the background. Sweet and slightly acidic flavour, medium bodied with a rather soft carbonation, at least for a Weizen. Dark and wheat-malt character, slightly yeasty and fruity taste; slightly ashy and moderately fruity, slightly spicy finish. Likeable but not world-shaking dark Weizenbock (21.05.08). shrubber85 (2462), Wallhalben, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany Jan 7, 2005 Bottle. A sweet bubble gum - peach malt aroma. Dark opaque brown color with decent head. Initial sweet peach-banana flavor with a mild estery bock finish. Well balanced - bock flavor not overpowering and a strong weizen flavor. Another great Kauzen beer.
