Sep 24, 2009 Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Dark amber with a small white head. Whiff of sulphur in the nose. Sweet fresh fruity taste: some citrus, but also peachiness. Mid bitter finish. Not bad, but a bit too sweet.

Clear medium to dark red amber color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, roasted notes, moderate to light heavy hoppy, pine, orange. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090410]

Jan 26, 2009 Cask-conditioned at the Hillgrove Porter Stores, Bristol 26/109. Reddy amber with a slight white head. aroma of doughy malt, with a hint of caramel and grassy hops. Flavour was sweetish, with some more chunky malts, red fruit and a long bitter finish. Good Scottish stuff.
