Bottle. Pale gold with a decent white head. Intense aroma of grapefruit, pine, grass and buttery malt. Flavour had some sweet malt, spice and a very hoppy finish, with citrus more pine and a slightly earthy finish. Excellent.

Comments: A fine golden ale. Lively palate, fresh tasting with plenty of tea-like citrus fruits.

On tap in the ’Freshfield’ not far from Southport, 5.2%, are you sure??...pours a very pale golden colour, almost lager like in appearance. Serious lemon citrus aroma, hoppy and light but strangely complex at the same time, hoppy and flowery too. Went down a treat

Gravity Peterborough Beer Festival,21 August 2007. Pale gold strong fruity ale.Pours with a white head,Nice aroma of ripe fruit, Leading to a citrussy dry bitter finish. Incredibly smooth and drinkable for a beer of its strength.

Cask. Slightly hazy golden colour, not much head. Aroma is riped fruit, fruity hops and some grass and wood. Flavour is big sourish fruity hops and some hints of grass. Long grassy and fruity hops in aftertaste.

Bottle. Gold, lightly carbonated, almost headless. Aroma musty, sweet and fruity. Flavour better than expected from aroma - tasty citrussy hops (Amarillo?), fruity, soft sweet malt, juicy. Smooth full mouthfeel, hoppy finish. Lacking only a little more carbonation for my taste, but definitely worth trying again.

Cask, Eagle & Child, Oxford. Pale yellow gold, small fine white cap. Musky Earl Grey aroma, fresh and sweet. Bright clean citrus hop flavor, light clean body, a nice subtle farmy character. Very refreshing summery ale.
