semiotic (10), Walton Hills, Ohio, USA Feb 3, 2008 maybe it’s just me, the way everyone is raving about these beers. I’ve been to their brewpub twice, and both times all Kelleys Island brews had a mediciinal smell and taste. Listerine comes to mind. BeerVirgin72 (582), C-Bus, Ohio, USA Aug 12, 2007 Poured a very pale yellow. A very distinct smell of breakfast cereal! Bartender said they grind their own grains...Reminded me of grapenuts! This was actually a pretty nice, light tasting wheat beer. OhioDad (2492), Hilliard, Ohio, USA Jul 1, 2006 On tap at the brewpub 6/26/06 - Pours golden and cloudy with a short white head that stayed a little and laced some on the glass. Aromas of light lemon over a wheatfield. Flavor is quite similar with some yeast there as well. Crisp on the palate with a fairly dry finish. Not bad. Tmoney99 (3544), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Apr 4, 2006 22 oz. bottle purchased at Piccolos in Sandusky, Oh. Clear amber pour with a small rocky white head that diminished slowly. Average wheat citrus aroma. Light to medium body. Moderate sweet wheat and citrus flavor with a light bitter finish. Drinkable soft brew.
