CharlesDarwin (1822), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA Jun 7, 2009 On tap at Kelly’s Steakhouse - Boalsburg, PA. Aroma puts off a somewhat aromatic and estery malt profile, with a bit of fresh wood and some light mustiness. Pours a hazed middle red with a good finger in coarse white head. Flavor is decent. There’s a good caramel quality to this beer. The alcohol is surprisingly forward, but plays off the sweetness and some of the dryness in the beer. Not bad. Very clean, very fresh and would pair well with steaks. The extra caramel depth is appreciate. Nice long dry hoppy snap.
