Jul 1, 2009 Draft at brewpub. Really low carbonation, that is pretty detrimental to the beer overall. The malt character is fine, with some nice roastiness and caramel. Nothing too special going on in the nose. I enjoy the flavor, but the lack of carbonation almost makes it seem a little stale.

Jun 17, 2008 Draft at brewpub. Poured a hazy ruby color with a moderate fizzy white head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Medium sweet malty aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Another average drinkable brew.

Mar 3, 2008 Draught at Kellys Caribbean Bar & Grill & Brewery, Key West. Hazy red/amber color, no head. Malty aroma, some chocolate notes. Spicy malty flavor with some rather bad hops.

Mar 23, 2007 Dark red color with a small quick head. Fruity malt aroma. Comes across pretty sweet with some caramel malts and not much hops. Refreshing, with a good flavor and no apparent bitterness.

Feb 24, 2007 The aroma is fruity and malty. The appearance is is amber with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is pretty good. I like it very well.

Nov 5, 2004 On tap in Feb of 04 from notes. Reddish amber color with a small fading head. Malty aroma and taste with slight nots of caramel and a mild hop finish. Average, but pretty good while sitting in 80 degree weather under a palm tree
