armando629 (379), Budapest, Hungary Jul 6, 2008 It was a nice beer with a golden color and a delicious white head. Aroma like a classic lager-pils with bottom fermentation notes like yeast, pilsner malt, nice floral hop perfume. The aroma is good balanced of hops, pale malt, moderated carbonation. Little bit thin body. I think the 12% has a bigger character, but this beer was a drinkable one too.
heavy (459), Split, Croatia Aug 10, 2008 08/08 Had it directly from a 0.5 l can on a gas station somewhere around Trencin. My first Slovakian beer, this one was on sale price :) Pleasant aroma of flower malts and citrus hops. Some hoppy bitterness in the flavor, but it was so watery. Also some paper in the finish, which is otherwise slightly bitter as well. I expected more, but this is just an average pale lager, maybe only a little bit above it. Pale yellow color, good foamy white head. Light papery malty aroma. Decent body, but lacks most of everything else. Has some sweet maltyness, but mostly tasteless. Quite typical 10P or less Slovakian supermarket beer. chmurarz (220), Raciborz, Slask, Poland Jul 16, 2008 looks very nice, lively carbionation, thick foam, aroma is balanced hop and malt, perfect, taste is full ; hop bitteness no sourness, very nice indeed sir_Pino (510), Zawiercie / Żywiec, Poland May 15, 2008 Rated: 02.07.2007
Bottle brown, 500 ml, extract of wort 10%
Appearance: Body is nice, deep gold, caronation is very weak but
creating quite nice, rather frothy head of white, snowy colour.
<bHead is diminishing of a certain degreewhere it losts for a longer time in hight of a few milimeters. Body is very deep almost cooper (bright), body is medium, very clear, transparent, well filtered.
Aroma:Very nice floral, mild, creamy, milky, aroma of good Bohemian Pilsener (malted barley of Bohemia), some alcohol, oily, a little bit freshness, grainy, refreshing, citrusy, a little hint of banana, very nice, similar to Pilsner Urquell (a little bit worser) (head is better though), some refreshing hoppy in nose, a little bit chalky.
Flavour:&Palate Frontal palate is mild, sweet from Bohemian malts, medium palate give the impression of slight, hoopy bitterness which is very well balanced with this quite distinctive sweetness, at the front chalkyness, giving a dry aftertaste (but a bit dry) in a nice way. A hops together with alcohol are strenghtening the nice malty character. The warmer beer is the more hoppyand alcoholic nose you feel and palate you have, very good aftertaste (not so strong as in Martiner 12, Budweiser Budvar or Pilsner Urquell though) but similar.
