Tap, at ZBF 2006. Deep chestnut brown, good off white head and gentle condition. Low roasted barley maltiness in the nose, sweet and full bodied in the mouth with a slightly burnt toast note, short chalky sweet finish.

Brown colored brew. Aroma is apples, sour. Flavor starts with chocolate, liquorice and sourness, but blends together after a while. Nice, balanced bittersweetness.

Bottle. [thank you, bierkoning]
Pours a great, dark ruby-red with a fine fluffy and slightly creamy, light-beige head. Good duration. Rather spicy aroma with pepper, coriander, nutmeg on top of liquorice and lots of dried fruits. Medium carbonation, nice mouthfeel. Flavour is just like I like a dubbel! Lightly vinious, lots of raisins and plums backing up a strong presence of dark, dry chocolate. Very nice!

Bottle at Ons te Huis, Diest. Coppery brown with a big tan creamy head. Fruity and sweet caramel aroma, some raisins and nuts. Sweet caramel well-balanced by nutty flavours. A very well-made beer, nicely rounded and balanced.
