NoiZe (949), Zeist, Netherlands Sep 14, 2008 Brown colored brew. Aroma is apples, sour. Flavor starts with chocolate, liquorice and sourness, but blends together after a while. Nice, balanced bittersweetness. thewolf (3983), Kolding, Denmark Aug 17, 2008 Bottle. [thank you, bierkoning]
Pours a great, dark ruby-red with a fine fluffy and slightly creamy, light-beige head. Good duration. Rather spicy aroma with pepper, coriander, nutmeg on top of liquorice and lots of dried fruits. Medium carbonation, nice mouthfeel. Flavour is just like I like a dubbel! Lightly vinious, lots of raisins and plums backing up a strong presence of dark, dry chocolate. Very nice! note666 (225), Eindhoven, Netherlands Aug 13, 2008 330 ml bottle. amber brown colour. off white head. complex taste ; fruit, caramel, alcohol.
