Smells like a cappucino with german malt beer. Tastes of coffee and chocolate with a bitersweet aftertaste. Pretty good porter, but a little thick for my tastes. Pours an opaque dark brown with a creamy tan head. Smell is roasty, sweet, dark malt. More sweet and creamy than bitter.
Taste’s a bit like a latte. Sweet dark malt, hints of coffee and heavy on the milky/creamy flavors. Milk chocolatey vs bitter chocolatey. Creamy mouth with a light but persistent roasted smokey aftertaste. Good stuff, not too heavy or strong. A good session porter.

Rye bread and rice cake aroma – a little unusual in its dark malt aromas. Also noted some pear. Flavour shows a toasty backdrop, with again something odd…I think it’s just husky maltiness and toasty graininess showing through more than it should, without the melanoidins.
