MI2CA (1101), Noblesville, Indiana, USA Sep 29, 2008 12oz thanks Docswife - Aroma is very malty and sweet. Pours clear gold with a small head and good lacing. Flavor matches aroma. A step above a macro. Palate was bitter but not in a good way. Overall a pretty bland brew, maybe a little past it’s prime as well. ant1ers (1), , California, USA does not count Aug 11, 2008 Looking at the numerical scores, this beer is definitely more than the sum of its parts. I had it on tap at a bar in a small town just north of Lexington, KY. Dark gold in colour, it’s flavour is mostly malt, with a hint of hops in the aftertaste. An excellent beer for it’s price range ($3 per pint in a relatively nice bar), and quite decent on the absolute scale. blankboy (2627), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 20, 2008 Bottle (12oz) shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a hazy orange with a spare diminishing white head. Aroma of caramel malt, grain, fruit, light hops and buttery toffee. Flavour of caramel malt, mild hops and again, buttery toffee. Light bitter finish. Average bodied. Just alright. HogTownHarry (3286), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Jun 26, 2008 Bottle (330ml). Shared with blankboy and garthicus, via trade with acknud. Clear light amber, average white head. Lightly papery aroma of apple malt and dry flowers. Taste is buttery candy apple, slightly bitter in the finish. Light, syrupy body, slick and still, stale caramel in the linger. Meh. daknole (858), Plantation, Florida, USA Jun 12, 2008 This is a weird beer. Bottle thanks to Acknud. Pours a golden color with barely any head. It is almost odorless and flavorless. I do taste slight malts...but nothing esle. Very odd indeed!
