Color is gold with just a touch of orange and good carbonation yet almost no head. Aroma is a light scent of malt with a little caramel showing. Taste is soft and sweet. Starting with light/medium body it goes down easy with a smooth feel. Finish is a mildly sweet malty taste of caramel, honey and apple with just a hint of bitterness. After taste is clean as the flavors drop leaving a faint sweetness lingering. This is an easy drinking clean brew, it just has no Amber qualities to it. (Bottle courtesy of jbye4334)

I buy it when I see my son in Louisville. The label says "handcrafted in sixty-barrel batches". I think it is a solid tasting local beer. I have had better, but I never regret picking up a six pack. Not too expensive at about a dollar a bottle. TampaBrew (844), Tampa, Florida, USA

I think some reviewers on here may have confused this with the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, which is a different beer. Clear golden-amber in color with a small white head. Aroma is caramel, grain, and mild floral hops. Flavor is caramel and pale malt, only slightly sweet, light spices, and some Noble hops that mostly contribute to the bittering. Palate is fairly light with medium carbonation. Overall pretty average. TimE (1308), Tokyo, Japan

In aroma and flavour this is closer to an English bitter. Caramel, earthy hops, and spice in both. Solid session ale. DJMonarch (6871), Northwich, Cheshire, England
