Commercial Description:
“Not Just any Blonde” The Kern River flows into Lake Isabella less then one mile south of Kernville, Ca. This Blonde Ale has an easy malt body and a mild hop aroma produced by traditional English hops. The light straw color and crisp finish make this an easy drinking beer that’s great for those hot summer days. If you are looking for great taste and good times, don’t settle for just any blonde, choose Isabella Blonde!

Tasted at the February Northern California Beer Tasting. This blonde ale pours a medium yellow gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is grassy and a touch floral. A light to medium bodied blonde ale. It really is a lawn mover beer, not a lot of flavor and unfortunately not a lot of carbonation. It is your prototypical brewpub blonde, slightly sweet and a touch grassy without a lot of hoppiness. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Bonus bottle courtesy of Odeed. Thanks!
Pours all head and almost zero beer and there is something clearly wrong. Smell is tart and honey like malt. Taste is, well, I can’t taste anything because what little isn’t already head, turns into foam the second it hits my mouth. Incredibly overcarbonated, but seems like it would have been a nice blonde otherwise.

22oz bottle acquired in trade with odeed (thanks!). Poured a medium golden color with a small sized whit head. Aromas of grains and wet hay. Almoast wheaty. Tastes of grains with a trade of citrus. Thinner body.

Hazed gold, thin white fizzy head. Nose held soft notes of grainy biscuit and touches of citrus. Light citric bitterness from start to finish. Light bodied and thin, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Not sure of the point on this one. Thanks for sharing, kmweaver!
