Aroma – Nice hoppy aroma with a good malt background.
Appearance – Amber in color, clear with a nice head.
Flavor – Very hoppy this beer was awesome to drink, The IPA flavor was huge and decent this can compete with the Pac NW for IPA’s. Great malt and hops flavor.
Palate – Great Mouthfeel, good texture with a dry finish.
Overall – A very good IPA had the flavors and the texture. Loved the hops and flavors I got from this beer. Not too overpowering to kill your taste buds.

Pours a clear copper under a one finger fizzy off-white head that faded to a wispy thin film. Lots of heavy lacing. A nice bright floral and citrusy hop nose, very fresh smelling, with just a minimal malt presence. Very bitter aggressive hops up front dominate the flavor, some toasted crystal malt mid-swallow, finishing out with lingering bitter citrus rinds. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with fizzy prickly carbonation, a little resiny hop stickiness lingering. Overall, a pretty decent IPA, very aggressively bitter, it certainly doesn’t pander to the masses. ryan (1776), Beltsville, Maryland, USA

Bottle: Lots of caramel in the aroma with some citrus hops, light mango, and faint pineapple. It pours slightly hazy amber with a small white head that leaves behind spotty lacing. The flavor starts with a light watery caramel fruitiness. Almost all the flavor comes in the finish with an increased caramel presence and a moderate dose of grapefruit hoppiness. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel and light carbonation. cbkschubert (1981), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 26, 2007 Pretty one dimensional in the aroma with a decently frothy head. Pine is the highlight here with a bit of catiness thrown in for good measure. Not a fan of this flavour combo. However, there is a nice mouthfeel and body to be found. A bit of toasted caramel in here, but not enough malt backbone to hold up to the bitterness of the hops on the finish. Ughsmash (4030), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 26, 2007 Thanks to Kan for the bomber! Poured slightly hazy medium orange with a short cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up strained caramel supporting citrus (orange and grapefruit), pine, and grassy hoppage.. on the succulent side with a bit of bite to it. The flavor had caramel and sweeter, juicy citrus fruits (primarily grapefruit) supporting more citrus and some pine bitterness.. resiny citrus bitterness and some alcohol warmth on the finish.. rather well-balanced. Full on the palate with ideal higher carbonation.. tangy, resiny finish was refreshing. Very good stuff! Soonah (931), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA

The pour was a turbid brown with lighter gold and orange highlights sitting just beneath a two-finger tall off-white head. Good, sticky, web-like lacing. The aroma was of a fairly standard California IPA, sugary malts that are quickly trampled by citrus and pine hops. Manages to find a bit of balance. The flavor is a bit more out of whack, with the citrusy hops dominating a front end of light caramel and a finish of floral and pine. The mouthfeel was above average. I think I’m developing a soft spot for these California IPA’s.
