| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 7, 2009 Draft at the brewpub! Nose of light citrus and pine hops with some caramel. Hazy amber with a medium off white head. Flavor had light bitterness, caramel and white pepperiness. Finish was lightly bitter with a slight background sweetness. As the beer warmed to near room temp the nose and flavors exploded to much higher levels! Klye the brewer said they serve it at 38F and still get lots of complaints that it is not cold enough. I guess I better order brews early so they have time to warm up! iowaherkeye (1877), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 29, 2009 On tap @ the brewpub. I?m told this went on tap yesterday. Hazy orange with a small creamy off-white head, fading to a thin film before long. Earthy, spicy, and lightly piney hops up front with a little caramel behind. Flavor is much the same with bitterness peaking around a 3-4. Light prickly carbonation with a smooth light to medium body. Not too bad for a wet hop--I always am excited about wet-hopped beers, but am usually a little disappointed.
