theisti (1640), Leawood, Kansas, USA Nov 1, 2009 22 oz bottle very generously given to me by irishboy. Pour is a cloudy yellow golden with a pretty 2 inch white head. Thick sheets of lacing remain on the glass as the head falls. Aroma of spicy gingerbread, nutmeg and pumpkin. The allspice is quite evident as well. Taste is a nice toasty malt base with the allspice, pumpkin, and some milk sweetness. Finishes big with the nutmeg. Very much pumpkin pie taste throughout, nice integration. Palate is medium to heavy, coats the mouth, nice spicy finish. Nice pumpkin beer - thanks for giving this one to me Richard. danielcurtis81 (879), San Diego, California, USA Oct 30, 2009 Served from a bottle from OTM. The appearance is a creamy gold with a frothy white head. The aromas are strong with pumpkin pie, graham cracker, and cool whip. Very festive. The flavors start with a pale malt flavor, and some sourdough bread notes. As the beer warms some of the pumpkin comes through with a touch of nutmeg. The mouth is creamy and medium bodied. A decent pumkin ale. tokyogoat (505), San Diego, California, USA Oct 25, 2009 Pours a hazy yellow-gold with no head.
Nose is cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and graham cracker.
Taste is watery up front, lots of spices lingering, fairly dry, needs a substantial amount more sweetness. ratman197 (3139), Arvada, Colorado, USA Oct 7, 2009 Bomber courtesy of Irish Boy poured a clear golden amber with a lasting white head. Aromas of pumpkin, allspice and light carmel. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of allspice, pumpkin and light carmel with a crisp spiced finish. Snojerk321 (1917), San Diego, California, USA Sep 24, 2009 Bottle from Olive Tree Market. Pours a mostly clear golden yellow with a small bubbly white head. Nice nose of nutmeg, clove, and pumpkin. Flavor was a little disappointing, some spicy qualities with some wheat and a fairly quick finish. iowaherkeye (1832), Bakersfield, California, USA Aug 29, 2009 On tap @ the brewpub. Clear pale golden with a one finger off-white head, fading to a fizzy ring before long. Pretty spicy up front with some light biscuity malts. Flavor is much the same--I can’t say that Ilm picking up on pumpkin, but am definitely getting all the spice. Minimal bitterness with a biscuity finish. Moderate lively carbonation with a light body. Pretty good, but Pumking is still better, in my opinion. pantani (1894), Salinas, California, USA Dec 21, 2008 Nice deep amber with a thin off white head Aroma is libbys pumpkin concentrate, cream, cloves and nutmeg. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma, but with a little more cream. Good pumpkin ale. Odeed (1666), Bakersfield, California, USA Dec 12, 2008 i rated this but i guess it vanished.nice spice/pumpkin aroma.flavor is more dominated by hay/corn.not bad stuff at all.
