lb4lb (1233), Austin, Texas, USA May 3, 2008 Bottle as one of many generous extras from Odeed. Thanks man!
Pours a reddish cloudy color. Smell is mild caramel malt and light tame hops. Taste is mild as well, with faint hop flavor coming through, but I found this to be lackluster flavorwise. Could be in part to palate fatigue, but still wasn’t overly flavorful. No flaws stuck out, however, and it was an easy drinker.

Brown red amber in color with an okay head. Sweet doughy smell with perhaps some citris in there too. Flavor is bland and watery with a hint of hop residue - but nothing big about this at all. Super thin with lackluster carbonation. Not a horrid beer by any means - just nothing very bold about it. acrdz (4095), Pennsylvania, USA Feb 28, 2008 Oooh, big overcarbonated gusher of a beer when opened, and it grows a 6 inch head when it’s poured into the glass. So, you swirl it a bit, let it settle, pour a bit more, rinse and repeat, and you’ve shaken most of the excess carbonation out of your glass. First impressions of the nose is the light tingling of butter and a more heavy tingling of acidic, sharp yeast, with some nutty and woody base malts in there as well. Tastes basically as it smells, with some buttered yeast, some black pepper and some other chemical-like flavors that all sit atop this resnious grain and bran flavored amber ale, with a moderate level of bitterness and essentially an empty finish. Not completely ruined by the infection, but still not that great. BrewDad (1528), Olympia, Washington, USA Jan 29, 2008 22oz Bomber - Trade - IrishBoy
Aroma – Nice malt aroma with a light hop background.
Appearance – reddish amber color, clear with a nice head.
Flavor – A nice malty beer. The hops where very nice but not huge. Needed more spice and flavor.
Palate – Light Mouthfeel, good texture with a dry finish.
Overall – A decent amber ale the reddish color throws you. The flavor is light and makes you wish it was stronger to support the great color.
cbkschubert (1469), Skyline, Arizona, USA Jan 5, 2008 22 oz. bottle via trade with IrishBoy - Pours a slightly hazy mohogany color with a one finger thick light tan head. Light lacing. Aroma is toasted caramel malt, light hops, and light esters. Flavor is a lightly sweetened toasted malt and light hops. Hop flavor and bitterness lingers in the finish. Medium body. A decent beer. Thanks Richard.
