ekstedt (1954), Göteborg, Sweden Jul 9, 2008 Bottle (50 cl) from Toom Getränkemarkt, Würzburg, Germany. Cloudy golden, large white head. Fruity aroma with banans and clove. Dry, a bit acidic, with some grapefruit-like bitterness. Refreshing. leaparsons (3963), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Sep 5, 2007 Bottle. Hazy orange gold with an initially large head. Aromas are caramel and banana with yeast. Quite sweet and buttery. Flavours are sweet caramel with yeast and spices. Soft banana with light citrus. OK. MoritzF (3883), Ruhrpott, Germany Aug 4, 2007 (bottle) Hazy, pale golden colour with a moderate foamy white head. Sweet and slightly acidic grainy and wheaty nose with a light fruit-character (light citrus and banana) and a touch of vanilla and cloves. Light-sweet and sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation for a Hefeweizen. Wheat-malty taste in good balance with fruity (citrus, peach) notes; moderately yeasty and fruity finish, slightly sweet and tart with a good length. Although I am not a Wheat-Lover this one is quite balanced and refreshing. yomintyfresh (53), USA Jun 13, 2007 Pretty standard Hefeweizen. Very tart and sour (reminded me of a Berliner Weisse!). Lots of carbonation. bager (2060), Copenhagen N, Denmark Nov 5, 2006 Bottled. Hazy yellowish in colour with a small head. SLightly sour but otherwise pretty sweet with notes of fruits and banana. Too high carbonation level.
