Handed to me with an evil eye and a wicked grimace, "whats this then beerman?", the party was rocking, but I’d had to drink some rough old stuff, so I wasn’t expecting much. A blast of neat alcohol took the pores off my tongue, then a sickly sweetness, I turned to mine host and thanked him. A whisky burn down my gullet finished the overall effect, I headed for the loo somewhat unstably. Revenge will be sweet. mutant (854), Melbourne, Australia

If I wanted to have a mohican hairstyle, avoid bathing for a few months and spend my days half asleep on a park bench, sneering at passers by, then this would suit the image down to the ground.
Maybe the Dead Kennedy's had drunk too much of this when they wrote their song "Too Drunk to f***" :D rauchbier (3002), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jul 2, 2003 Can. Gold colour, thin white head and moderate condition. Almost hoppy aroma for a strong lager but an alcohol note lurks.Soft and malty sweet in the mouth with some lingering bitterness but still an underlying taste of alcohol is there. Quite bitter in the finish, and manages to avoid being cloying. Tasted alongside Slalom Strong from the same brewer to see if they where the same beer. They arent, but neither are worth drinking unless you want a quick buzz.

Soft snow white head - vast, but fast diminishing. Lager malt nose with alcohol warmth. Soft chewy body - like fudge. Alcohol embedded in flavour - but not dominant. Some sweetness. Metallic hops develop into finish. Strong lager of little character. Drinkable cold. I would not want to experience it warm. [1.8] Re-rate. Can. Metallic nose. Boiled celery and cellophane flavour. Sweetish, but not intensely so. Alcohol produces some burnt currant flavours in the finish. Corn water appearance. Warms as it goes down. Dry orange in the lingering after-taste. gets better the more you work at it and tease out the flavours. Acceptable strong lager. pete123 (10), waipukurau, New Zealand

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 10, 2003 Golden colour, no head. Alcohol in the aroma. The flavour is more balanced than expected, less sweet than other malt liquors, with a touch of bitterness in the aftertaste. Anyway, like all this kind of beers there's simply too much alcohol for my taste.
