Lots of pine and leafy herbal bitterness I really like the aroma. Pours copper with a thin white head and some decent lacing. Flavor is initially very bitter hops with pine and grapefruit, but as it warms more of the malt characteristics come through with some caramel sweetness balancing the bitterness to creat a pleasant fruity flavor. The finish is pretty bitter with lingering dryness. Another solid offering from this brewery. Ty5592 (1015), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Lively carbonation with light bitter hop aroma. Light fruitiness taste but mainly bitter hops. Good body with massive lacing. Harsh bitter finish. sneagrams3 (1757), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Doughy malts and sugary hops in the nose. Sweet malts and bitter resinous grapefruity hops. Mildly sticky with a nice bitterness. Decent attempt. jah noth (1017), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 20, 2007 Clear amber in color with some carbonation and a tight, white head. Some citric hops rise above the foam with bit of sweetness from the malt. An interesting array of flavors. The citric grapefruit kind of bounces around the sweet, toffee-amber and leaves a sweet and resinous swallow. Fairly creamy. My first sip of this I didn’t love, but this brew grew on me andmust be a nice option out among the mountains. Thanks Toby! wetherel (1627), Encinitas, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 5, 2007 Thanks for the bonus can from Kyzr! 1 finger head that slowly dies to a thick microbubble head. Very nice head. Clear deep amber color. Soft citrus hop nose, as if aged, but I think it’s fresh. Bitterness of grapefruit hops hits the tongue immediately. Thick body. Meidum sweetness. Not super palatable, which I think has something to do with the hop profile, but I’m not sure why. 5000 (2409), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 2, 2007 Can: Copper colored, huge frothy off-white head, fairly nice lacing.   Soft malt nose, some citrus, a little husky.   Husky malt flavor with soft citrus rind notes.   Hop profile is minor to moderate.   Comes across to me as a Pale Ale.   Very minor astringent citrus peel and grain husks on the backside.   Decent, but perhaps with the grainy malts and citrus bitterness, it feels like a quasi Amber Pale Ale.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes a little flat.   Tiz okay, certainly average.   About what I expected I guess.

Nice light floral and citrus hoppiness on the nose. Kinda funky, and possibly off, with over the top citrus, and little balance to the hops. Skyview (4055), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 19, 2007 Received 16-oz via trade with kyzer and shared with Minnesota gang. Pours a semi-hazy orange amber brew with a light off-white head and a good lacing. Aroma of orange peel, light caramel malt and some earthy spice. Taste is light carbonation, medium bodied with a citrus and caramel malt flavor. Finish is a subdued hop bitterness and a slight sweet malt aftertaste. Canned IPA works for me.
