Commercial Description:
Ginseng Pale Ale is the beer most likely to fly under the radar. Those who love it become loyal drinkers, unable to choke down anything other. Around here we say drink one of these and it’ll keep you up all night. Interpretation is strictly personal. Larry Evans, one of Missoula’s own, supplies us with the ginseng.

On tap at Kettle House. Pours hazy gold with a lacy white ring of foam. Seriously earthy aroma and taste, aided and abetted by some citrus, fruit and vanilla. Dry finish that dissolves into nothing. An interesting beer.

On draught at the brewery’s taproom in Missoula, Montana. Pours a hazy golden pale blonde brew with a thick white head that has good retention and lacing. Aroma of some flowery hops, earthy herbal spice and a touch of light multi-grain malt. Taste is light carbonated, light to medium bodied with more citrus hop and bitterness than the pale ale and hefeweizen sampled earlier. Finish is slightly dry at first and then clean with no aftertaste. The brewery’s taproom chalkboard pre-lists this beer as "The one. the only..." which I agree is one of the more outstanding herbal beers I’ve tried.

Bright but cloudy with intense lacing and carbonation. Medium bodied, bright flavor. I had a few flavors on my palate already but this was a great brew. A definite pick me up. Summery.
