Nov 4, 2009 At brewpub: Chocolate brown pour with a finger of creamy beige head. Little sheets of lacing. Aroma is mild of roast and coffee. Tastes roasty, but not much else going on. Maybe a little stale coffee. Subpar.

Apr 20, 2008 On tap at the Kettle House. This black ale poured with a short tan head. There is a nice treacle flavor, slightly thin but tasty, leaving a bitter chalky taste on the tongue.

Jun 26, 2006 Black with a frothy tan head. Roast and some cocoa in the nose. The nitro kills it, though. Strong roast flavors with bitter hops. Good feeling in the mouthfeel; smooth of course.

May 3, 2006 Nitro at the Brewpub: Black, thick tan head nitro looking. The flavor is creamy, good roast, super balanced. The nose? What nose? Finishes creamy, long tail, intense coffee.
