Courtesy of captaincougar. Hazy brown body with a medium beige head. The nose is biscuit malts, dark fruits, toffee and hay. The flavor is moderately sweet, very lightly bitter with cherry, raisins, toffee, cola and cracker. Medium body is round with moderate carbonation.

Sep 29, 2008 12oz can - Aroma is very subtle nutty malts. Dark brown with a small head a good lacing. Flavor is nutty, chocolate and caramel malt. Palate is creamy. Drinkable but nothing special.

The best beer I have ever had out of a can. Big thick full head. Very nice dark color. Very smooth and crisp.

Jul 29, 2008 Picked up a single 12-oz can at Riley’s World of Wines in downtown Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a clear dark cola brown brew with a slow dissolving beige head that dissipates a spotty lacing to a thin beige ring. Aroma of roasted dark malt, touch of roasted nuts and dark pitted fruits. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with flavors of roasted caramel malt, some sour dark fruit, roasted nuts and iced tea. Finish has a very light sour and metallic caramel malt aftertaste. An average brown ale overall.

Jul 29, 2008 my sister in law brought me a 6 pack of cans which was surprising in itself. big brown head that quickly disappeared. the flavor was smooth not any real bite. but can taste the caramel and sweet, not sure about sugar but it was very pleasant, the warmer the better for me...glad i got to take the upper penninsula of beers.
