foundmd (163), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jan 11, 2009 12oz bottle, thanks to Mom. Pours a translucent golden amber with a very small, quickly dissipating head. Aroma and flavor of sweet caramel malts. Thin on the palate and easy to drink Definitely well-suited for a hot afternoon in the Keys. WeeHeavySD (2941), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Jan 8, 2009 12oz from Daknole. Pours orange with a bright white head. Nose is sweet with not much there, but something at least. Taste is pretty bland with a touch of sweet hops. Not horrible, not anything special either. DrDavid (957), Johnson, Vermont, USA Dec 31, 2008 Bottle. Very mild aroma, difficult to discern. Golden body, small off-white head. Taste is bland, watery, vaguely bitter. A little malt arrives at the finish. morrdt (608), Jacksonville, Florida, USA Dec 27, 2008 12 oz. single from Total Wine in Jacksonville, Florida. This was a nice, refreshing beer after a long day. Slightly bold aroma, with a bit of malt and hops; taste of a bit of citrus on the finish. A decent beer, but nothing too special about it. drpimento (785), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Nov 30, 2008 From a bottle I brought home with me from North Miami Beach recently. Poured with an off-white to tan head and no lace. Aroma is at first dark ripe fruits, apricots, and a hint of cherry along with a bit of malt and hops. Shortly after that the aroma is strongly caramel malt. Flavor is similar but more pronounced malt and bittering hops. Body’s not bad, perhaps a tad over carbonated. Ok beer. Forgetable finish. Could do worse. One of the best beers I’ve had from down there so far. IlanMan (816), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Nov 27, 2008 Bottle: Medium-dark golden/amber. Aroma was lightly sweet with malt and a hint of hops. Flavor was malt and light bodied. This tasted absolutely nothing like a golden or blonde ale. Not a horrible beer but perhaps a style change is in order? I agree with nearbeer. This is an amber. nearbeer (1833), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 19, 2008 12 oz, bb 01/29/09. Clear, darkish copper with a small head. Light soapy lace. Mild aroma of spicy split wood, orange and resin. Tastes of earthy grain, sourish apple, caramel, toasted nut. Orange-cocoa on the finish. Light-medium body is a little too watery but has a nice dry finish. This seems more of an amber ale than a blond. pumpmaster (474), Pembroke Pines, Florida, USA Sep 7, 2008 12 ounce bottle purchased at Publix Supermarkets Pembroke Pines, FL for $1.25
