Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, touch of banana, touch of floral hops. A light to medium bodied blond/golden ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, touch of grain and some banana. The hops are floral and sort of strong for a blond ale. Decent carbonation. Kind of mild tasting, it is a golden ale, but there is a touch of a hop bite. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. daknole (2896), Plantation, Florida, USA

Mild bitterness with light malt and citrus notes. Quite refreshing. I wouldn’t say no to another. elmatador00 (518), j-action-ville, North Carolina, USA

Aroma is mostly malt. Tastes of caramel, little citrus fruit, little hop. Body is malty and finishes with a thick rich taste on the tongue. I enjoyed this one. Great Blonde ale. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 20, 2008 Every time I find myself in Key West I make it a point to stumble into Willie T’s for a drink. The wife insists on Key West Sunset Ale. When I think Key West, I usually don’t picture such a dark, autumnal beer. Medium brown color with virtually no head, so forget about lacing. Not very hoppy. Flavors of pumpkin, butterscotch, citrus, nuts, and light malt. Rather complex, actually until the finish when they all run out in a hurry and leave your palate a little boozy. I can get sixers of this beer at Sweetbay here in Tampa anytime. BeerFanDan17 (610), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA

Mix of apricot and caramel finished smooth and a bit acidic. GadgetGeek (29), Snellville, Georgia, USA

One of the least remarkable beers I have ever been served. It is offered everywhere in Miami, perhaps I’ll switch to wine? Nice tall glass, and it does feel good in the hand.
