Flavor was malt and light bodied. This tasted absolutely nothing like a golden or blonde ale. Not a horrible beer but perhaps a style change is in order? I agree with nearbeer. This is an amber. Poured a very pretty orange golden color with a very nice foamy head. Smelled like sweet straw. Taste was pretty good when it was cold. Not a ton of flavor, just a light malt, some caramel and a hint of fruit. Not terrible, but not entirely full of flavor either...I appreciate the thought tho!! | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 5, 2008 Amber color with a head that quickly settles to a thin layer. Aroma is malty and grassy with just a hint of citrus fruit. Malty flavor with a light bitter hop profile, a bit saazy, and slightly sweet. Darker color and fuller than expected. Pretty basic but I liked it for what it is. jujubeast6000 (795), Houston, Texas, USA

Smallish, lasting head, yellow-whitish, decent lacing. Orangish aroma, good. Citrusy taste, some small nutty taste. Some dusty taste, some lager. Hoppy, somewhat bitter taste. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 18, 2007 Bottle - Pours a light gold, with a pure white head that disappeared almost immediately. Plenty of hops, but yet not too heavy keeping it a "light" ale. Tasty. slimchill (781), Austin, Texas, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Mar 19, 2007 Bottle. Nose is very mild, sweet citrus, and hops. Pours a hazy light orange with no head. Palate is extremely flat and watery with no kick at all. Flavor is very subtle hops, watered down. Boring. Dough77 (777), Aurora, Illinois, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 13, 2007 not much to rave about here. Bottle claims it to be a 3.5 of 5 on its own "dark" meter. well ok I suppose if your next darkest is a miller lite clone. anyways barely more then a gold color pour with white medium sized head. Nose kind of smells like cheap beer with a little more malt and a wince of hop. Flavor brings those qualities out a bit more bringing an almost toasted malt nutty character to the table. But not enough to entice and when mixed with its slight over carbonation it makes for a very mediocre drink. corby112 (767), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Aug 26, 2009 Pours a clear golden amber orange/ light copper color color with .5 finger off-white head that immediately fades into a very thin ring.
Light caramel malt aroma with crisp hop presence and faint notes of grass and straw. Very bland with subtle hops and the faintest trace of spice.
Lighter side of medium body with sweet caramel maltiness and crsip bitter hop balance. Citrus fruit notes mostly orange peel and tropical fruit with slight spiciness (corriander, pepper). Clean and crisp and pretty well balanced. Sweet fruit and matly flavors balance themselves out fading into a slightly bitter crisp dry finish
