Jun 8, 2009 33cl bottle @ Delirium Cafe, Brussels. Pours dark brown with a reddish hew and a creamy white head. Nose is sweet of yeast and dark fruits. Smooth and full bodied. A little metal/iron in the taste which also is packed with caramel and brown sugar. Some off flavors and actually a bit boring. OK

May 25, 2009 (33cl bottle, as Strandjuttersbier Mong de Vos) Hazy, mahogany colour with a big but non-persistent off-white frothy head. Yeasty, moderately sweet and slightly toasted malty aroma with peppery and gingerbread spices, accompanied by berry fruits and a touch of alcohol. Sweet flavour with a tinge of sourness, medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Dark and slightly toasted malt character with berry fruity notes and a shy touch of caramel; moderately sweet malt-accented, slightly fruity and alcoholic finish. BB August 2010 but it seems to be already close to its edge; I´m not that impressed (25.V.09).

May 21, 2009 The beer floods out of the bottle, and the color is beautiful, dark red and the head is huge. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, berries, caramel, candy sugar, light citrus and the slightly dry finish has hints of coriander.

May 21, 2009 Draught @ Delaney’s, New Haven. Served in goblet. Cola color, scant bone-color cap. Cherries, bread, and alcohol in aroma. Feels hot in the mouth. Distinct cherry flavor almost like a craft soda but I like it, not just cherries plopped on top of beer, this is rather complex and quaddy.

Apr 9, 2009 Draft at Rattle N Hum. Pours a mahogany body with a tan head. Toasted malt, bubble gum, chewy belgian cane sugar, plum and berries. Caramel and a hint of pine.

Apr 1, 2009 Bottle, bought @ Bierpaleis, Brügge.
Pours deep, golden red with a fine, frothy, beige head. Aroma has lots and lots of dried fruits. Plums, raisins, coriander, alcohol. Some raspberries (probably from the trappist yeast). Medium carbonation, fine creamy mouthfeel. Nice, elegant flavour. Lots of fruit, dried raisins, fresh raspberries. Wonderful warming sensation. A bit spicy as well. Just a hint of sweet, milky chocolate. A very good quad, actually.

Mar 26, 2009 Strubbe Keyte Dobbelen Tripel. This beer defies it’s look and name. Dark in color, very light mouthfeel, easy to drink but not much flavor. Disappointing.

Not 100% I’m rating the right beer here, but I had a "Strubbe Dobbel Tripel" on Tap, so I’m guessing. Was a solid, flavorful Belgian style beer. Something I would definitely drink again.
