| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 19, 2008 Bottle: Poured a dark brown with a red tint, head is beige. Aroma is sweet dark fruits and caramel malts. Taste is filled with fruit yet has a suttle sugary malt. This balances it off a bit and provides a very tasty beer. nimbleprop (922), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 17, 2008 Served on tap in a goblet at Brasserie Beck in Washington D.C. Listed on the menu as a double-triple, listed here at a Quad. What is it really? Translucent, dark brown with a creamy slightly tan head. Smells like a quad. tons of sugar and malts, Belgian dark candy, Belgian yeasts, dark fruits. Flavor was similar, dark sugar, molasses, chewy malts, toffee, raisins, bananas, Belgian yeast. A little more than medium bodied, slightly chalky and sweet. If it called itself a quad it might be a little less confusing. bu11zeye (5545), Frisco, Texas, USA

picking up some spicyness in the flavor to complement the fruityness, the woody fruity tartness is still there but more in the background, peachy sweetness shows up at the bottom of the glass,
