An aroma of several fruits and dark malts. The taste is sweet, of some honey and banana. It has a touch of chocolate. Nice bitterness. Alcohol is not dominating. A good beer.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 7, 2008 Bottle at the Belgian Embassy in Oslo. The pour is hayz and copper-colored, with an off-white head. Fruity nose with both dried and fresh fruits, like apple and pear, and there’s also some malty aromas. The flavor is much the same, with the added joy of a yeasty note. Medium to full, sweetish body, and a dry yet sweetish finish. Sure, it’s a quite nice beer, but too fruity in my book. (080410) surmont (11), USA
