Reddish brown colour with mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some alcohol, quite yeasty notes as well as mild sourness and spices. Flavour is being quite much the same with alcohol being more stinging and aggressive. Yet drinkable, especially with some cheese along with it. kp (8396), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

picking up some spicyness in the flavor to complement the fruityness, the woody fruity tartness is still there but more in the background, peachy sweetness shows up at the bottom of the glass,

The aroma has notes of roasted malt, berries, caramel, candy sugar, light citrus and the slightly dry finish has hints of coriander. MesandSim (5912), London, Greater London, England

One with Ian and he thought it was crap, I thought it was ok. The second was with the Mancs we met in Antwerp a few days before and it was a totally different story. All I can think is we got the bottom of a bottle first time round. The only thing I can liken this two is when you blend Westmalle Dubbel and Tripel. It makes a glorious amber beer and this is pretty much the same. Excellent. thewolf (5792), Kolding, Denmark

Pours deep, golden red with a fine, frothy, beige head. Aroma has lots and lots of dried fruits. Plums, raisins, coriander, alcohol. Some raspberries (probably from the trappist yeast). Medium carbonation, fine creamy mouthfeel. Nice, elegant flavour. Lots of fruit, dried raisins, fresh raspberries. Wonderful warming sensation. A bit spicy as well. Just a hint of sweet, milky chocolate. A very good quad, actually.
