Trappistenbier (41), Brugge, Belgium Apr 9, 2008 Hi,
This is a wonderful Tripel from brewmaster Marc Strubbe (bry. Strubbe).
The balance between hops and malts are just perfect. Blond clear beer with a creamy white long lasting head. Nosing gives great hoppy accents. Tasting gives hops, malts and a nice sweet touch. Quite fruity, and complex.
yes, I go for another one.... wacho (43), Izegem, Belgium Jun 11, 2008 gedronken in de brouwerij. Mooie witte ,langdragende witte kraag. Fruitig aroma met een goed uitgebalanceerd smaakpalet. Lichtbitterig met een fruitige achtergrond en droge afdronk fraans (31), ostend, Belgium Jan 12, 2005 Updated: Feb 27, 2006Pretty good. But not very original i think.
It tastes a bit like any other beer in it’s class.
But worth a try though!
From my home town ;) that gives it a step ahead
Jerre (1399), Waregem, Belgium Oct 21, 2006 Bottle, 33 cl. First time taste at june 06: karaterbierevent) Blond color. White, frothy head. Aroma of vanilla, hops, coriander. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Nice hoppy bitter. Good beer.
surmont (11), USA Apr 13, 2008 This beer is so vivid, that it has a difference in taste due to the maintenance of the barrels. It tastes different form draught and from the bottle. "Keyte" means "Cuite" in French. The beer was made as a remembrance of a lost siege of Ostend for the English in 1604. It was launched by the local beercombers. Queen Elizabeth may have vanquished the Armada but at the end, after 4 years of siege, the English-Dutch protestant force had to surrender. It is known that as well the Spanish infantry as the English dronk beer and in the vessels a lot of English beer was brought in the harbour.
The Keyte is a triple blond beer with a high evolution in the palate, that remembers of nuts and bread.
