Pale brown colour. Black malts dominates the aroma. Light sourish flavour backbone - black malts in excess here as well, as well as chocolate. Low bitterness. Pretty boring. Beer2000 (1841), Kristiansand, Norway

Slightly spicy aroma dominated by a sweet castor sugar smell. Flavor is sweet and fruity, some apple, sweet malt and sugar with a hint of alcohol. A bit to much on the sweeter side for my liking. Light hazy, orange body. Sweet hoppy aroma leads the way to a very sweet flavour of late fruits and dry chocolate added a nutty hint. Almost a sugarbomb to my tasting (BBF, Oslo 10.04.2008). surmont (11), USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 13, 2008 This beer is so vivid, that it has a difference in taste due to the maintenance of the barrels. It tastes different form draught and from the bottle. "Keyte" means "Cuite" in French. The beer was made as a remembrance of a lost siege of Ostend for the English in 1604. It was launched by the local beercombers. Queen Elizabeth may have vanquished the Armada but at the end, after 4 years of siege, the English-Dutch protestant force had to surrender. It is known that as well the Spanish infantry as the English dronk beer and in the vessels a lot of English beer was brought in the harbour.
The Keyte is a triple blond beer with a high evolution in the palate, that remembers of nuts and bread. Trappistenbier (42), Belgium

This is a wonderful Tripel from brewmaster Marc Strubbe (bry. Strubbe).
The balance between hops and malts are just perfect. Blond clear beer with a creamy white long lasting head. Nosing gives great hoppy accents. Tasting gives hops, malts and a nice sweet touch. Quite fruity, and complex.
yes, I go for another one....
