Pours a hazy honey/orange yellow with thick white head that quickly dissipates. The body of the lacing is very light--not thick. Aroma is yeast and fruits, cloves/bananas a hint of tart granny smith apple. Flavor is a bit of tart apple but with the sweetness of banana and clove present. Definite yeast notes. Strong balance between tart and sweet. Body is medium light but very carbonated.

Bottled. Golden colour, huge white bubbly, quite long lasting head. A lot of lacing. Aroma gives some earth, fruits, vegetables, and some mild notes of wood. Flavour is vegetables, lots of fruits, some herbs and some grassyness. Pleasantly balanced, but gets a bit boring after a while.

from belgianshop.com - cloudy blond-orange colour with a solid creamy white foam; superb lacing, robust aroma of banana, apple and a bit of dust, phenolic; slightly oily, good malt body, sweet with a low bitterness; the finish is like the rest: fruity and dusty - good but one-dimensional

Bottle, 7.5%. Good, refreshing, citric aroma. Hazy yellow colour. Small white head. The flavour is citric in a lemony way, refreshingly fruity and sour with a hint of plastic. Flavourful, refreshing and good. 7 3 8 3 17

ZBF08. Weak malty aroma. Sweet flavour, flat not too lively. Grey chestnut amber colour. Small head. Too sweet flavour, sugary. 5 3 5 3 10

From a cafe in Brussels. Light. Some citrus. Not much struck out at me other than the odd name. That, obviously, was my reason for trying it out.

Excellent blonde ale that reaches a perfect combination of sweet and spicy. Mouthfeel is explosive: a small sip reaches into every corner of your mouth. Could drink again and again. On tap at Erasmus. Supposedly the beer commemorates the occupation of Ostend by the Spanish in the 1600s.

Deep golden color. The most creamy white head I have seen on a beer. Subtle, winey, oranges and cream nose. Cardamon, apricots, brandy, apples winey mouth, Dry orangey finish. Loved this.
