Lightly tart, leathery nose. Medium body with lightly sweet, pale malts, brett-like accents and fusty horseblanket. There’s some Orval notes there with a dry and lightly astringent finist. Wauw, quite exciting - I really dig this one. 180807 bu11zeye (5530), Frisco, Texas, USA

Hazy pale yellow color, big foamy white head. Orange peels, citrusy hops and a bit of yeast in the nose. Crisp, carbonated mouthfeel. Quite light palate. Citrusy (or something between citrus and orange), some candy sugar sweetness. Light bitterness together with sweetness in the aftertaste. Refreshing, no off-flavors, but just a bit too simple. thewolf (5792), Kolding, Denmark
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 23, 2007 Bottle, from Kolding Vinhandel. Pours hazy golden yellow with a big, foamy dirty white head. It fizzes away slowly. Aroma has honey, a slight fruity tartness to it, lots of oranges. Flavour is malty, quite tart, and with a clear spicy presence. There is a touch of coriander, som vanilla and a good dose of ginger. The finish is warmingly vinious, quite hoppy and with the same honey-like presence as in the aroma. sayravai (3750), Helsinki, Finland
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 19, 2007 (Bottled) Hazy golden with a large, foamy and lasting head, and small, floating yeast particles. Slightly acidic and honey-sweet aroma with some orange fruitiness. Honeyish, pale-malty, fruity, slightly spicy and sweet, yet very balanced flavor. Hides the ABV well. Medium-bodied, slightly acidic and foamy, but reasonably balanced palate. A straightforward, but enjoyable and very well-balanced tripel. Deserves a honorary mention on the extensive back label data (the only thing one could still miss is the IBU). duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England
