Cans. I somehow stumbled across King Cobra in can-form last night and couldn’t pass up the novelty. The $3.49 for the sixer didn’t hurt either. I was shocked at how inoffensive the flavor was. Sweetish and watery, sure, but not harsh or unpalatable. In the world of malt liquor, that’s quite an achievement. Maybe I need to pour one out and get a real sense of it from a glass to get kicked in the face, but for now I will rank this as drinkable.

Dec 18, 2009 40 oz. bottle, reserva 09 edition bottle #6 of 50 on the Stater Brothers shelf compliments of Hophead22. Pours a brilliant straw yellow color with champagne like carbonation and a rocky white head. Aroma is that of moist dog pelt, grain and sweet corn. Flavor is like a fine perrier that has been micturated in. Palate is unbelievably thin and carbonation is abundant. A luxurious malt liquor.

Dec 18, 2009 A golden beer with a small fast disappearing head. This smells like a pale lager though not as bad as some. I would rather drink this than most pale lagers I have come across, which is it’s only positive.

Dec 14, 2009 Bottle at Hophead22 tasting. This was the reserve brown bag series. Poured a clear apple juice color. Aroma was skunky L.A. water and sweet vomit. Medium carbonation. Taste was similar to aroma with some corn and sweet malts.

Oct 3, 2009 Bottle. Poured a very pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma was very sweet, kind of like corn. Flavor was rough with an awkward sweet flavor.

Sep 23, 2009 40oz. Used to tear these up in college. Pours the palest of yellow colors with a small white fizzy head. Nose is light corn and stinky. Palate is thin and stigns the tongue. Flavors are king cobra malt liquor, no other way to describe it.
