Commercial Description:
Our wheat beer is a classic Bavarian style wheat beer. German hops, malt and yeast give this beer its authentic character. The beer is not filtered, has a classic wheat nose and is very refreshing.

Murky dark gold yellow color with great two finger head. Explosively carbonated, no joke. Just about lost an eye when I popped off the cap. It burst off and ricocheted off my ceiling. Needless to say, this was one of the most aggressively carbonated beers ive had, which actually worked very well with the beer. Lots of citrus and some banana flavors. Some tartness and spices too, but not a ton. Medium light bodied. I had a hoegaarden after this one, and much to my surprise because of the kings carbonation, the hoegaarden tasted flat.

Cloudy straw gold with a couple inches of sudsy off white foam. Very good head retention, sparse foamy lacing. Sweetish wheat and clove in the aroma. Sweet bready wheat flavor with some pungeant spice and yeast character. A touch of white pepper. Green hop and tangerine bitterness in the finish and into the aftertaste. Medium body, solid carbonation. A nice Americanized version.

King Weissbier ("Bavarian Style Wheat Beer"). I assume this rating belongs here. Hazy orange-yellow body, thin off-white head. Banana, clove, and bubblegum aroma. Typical hefeweizen flavors of banana and clove, pretty potent on those notes, with a slightly tart, spicy finish. Creamy, somewhat heavy-feeling body. A bit undercarbonated. Decent.

On tap: Yeasty banana aroma. Dark cloudy orangish-yellow with a small white head. Yeast and banana up front with a light citrus finish. A little watery.

Tap. Wow, the other guys must have had a bad batch. I had this one at Kings. It was a pleasure to watch. Poured into the proper glass, this one was just a flurry of bubbles, with a great head and beautiful golden color. The bubbles just kept coming. Great aromas, fruit and malt. This one roils around in your mouth, the flavors are on the sweet side, very good.
