Alldaydrinker (458), Norwood, Massachusetts, USA Jun 7, 2008 Pours a golden color with a small white head, lots of carbonation activity. Nose is grassy, earthy, touch of hops. Initial taste is crisp, grassy, rhiney hop bitterness. Watery, light bodied with a fizzy mouth feel. Finish has rhiney bitterness finish for average palate duration.
dwaggs2 (93), Warrensburg, Missouri, USA Sep 4, 2008 Bottle. Pours a light yellow with tons of carbonation. Aroma is skunk, grass and malts. Taste is like water not that complex. Has a light bitter taste to it. A pretty pour beer everettvh (24), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Sep 3, 2008 330 mL bottle from LCBO. Opened the bottle to a strong, skunky aroma. The pour was a light yellow color, with a weak head. Given the aroma, the flavor was surprising weak. A bit of hops, with little but a sour after taste. Not a great beer. tgncc (246), Bellmore, New York, USA Sep 1, 2008 I find it indeed sad that the world’s most imitated beer is the American pale lager. With that said, this beer has the characteristics of most pale lagers. However, its aroma is affected by earthy hops. The appearance is yellow/gold, with a white head. Its flavor has a malt sweetness, with some hops thrown in (this by itself is a departure from other pale lagers like Bud). The palate is slightly sour, with a slight hoppyness. Overall, ok for what it is. Sparky27 (518), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Aug 23, 2008 Bomber. Pours a pale fizzy yellow with a half inch white head and spotty lacing. Nose is a bit skunky with sweet grain and grassy hops. Taste is fruity and sweet with a some faint hops in the finish. Lighter mouth feel. Not horrible. Delirium (430), Santa Cruz, California, USA Aug 21, 2008 Updated: Aug 30, 2008Bottle (US version, contract-brewed in Saratoga Springs, NY). Aroma is grainy, lightly sweet, with some light fruit. Flavor is similar, with a bit more light fruit, a bit of tartness from the almost seltzery carbonation, and a hint of hops in the finish. Not bad at all for the style.
